I led a training needs analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, and priorities for a comprehensive education program. The organization needed clarity on what learning was truly needed, what gaps existed, and how to prioritize future development efforts. Existing offerings were minimal and not fully aligned with audience needs or business objectives. This work informed the direction of future learning initiatives and ensured alignment with organizational goals.

I first conducted the needs analysis to understand the current state, the desired future state, and the gaps between them. This included gathering input from stakeholders, reviewing existing content, and identifying patterns in learner needs.
I followed a structured approach:
Interviewed key stakeholders to understand organizational goals and barriers to learning.
Collected member feedback through surveys and focus groups to identify skills and knowledge gaps.
Mapped performance goals to learning outcomes to ensure alignment between what members learn and what organizations need.
Drafted a phased education plan outlining topics, modalities, and program priorities for the next 2+ years.
I utilized the needs analysis and new knowledge of gaps within the industry to develop a 2-year plan for education. The plan was broken up into 3 phases for development: immediate (year 1), mid-term (year 2), and long-term initiatives. For each project within the phase of development, I included learning goals, what need the programs or courses addressed, how the work would be completed, and tentative timelines.
The needs analysis and education plan provided clear direction for future learning strategy and program development. It ensured that learning initiatives were aligned with both audience needs and organizational goals.
